Registration CEM PhD Program
The CEM specialization does not recruit PhD students directly. Admission is only possible for doctoral candidates who have already been admitted to the Graduate School for Cellular and Biomedical Sciences (GCB) at the University of Bern. If you have been admitted to the GCB, this is how you can apply to the PhD Program Cutting Edge Microscopy. You need to have filled out the following documents:
- The CEM Registration Form
- A brief explanation of the role of microscopy in your project. The explanation should not exceed half a page. You can use the Template "CEM Individual Project Description"
- Your GCB Doctoral Agreement Form
- Your full GCB Application Form
Please send those documents to the CEM admin: cem.mic@unibe.ch
The CEM Scientific Directors will then decide if the CEM PhD specialisation is a good fit for you. You will hear from them in due time.
Once appoved, students of the CEM PhD program have to complete the Individual Curriculum on an ongoing basis and maintain it independently. Students are obliged to complete this form and send it to Ruth Lyck (ruth.lyck@unibe.ch) and CEM admin (cem.mic@unibe.ch) at two points in time:
- at the time of the mid-term exam and
- again in a finalised version before completing the CEM PhD program.
